Business Advocacy Speaker Series

The Business Advocacy Speaker Series monitors legislation, environmental statutes, and political issues of concern that may impact the business environment in Irvine and neighboring cities. Speakers provide insight on issues and projects affecting businesses, members, and residents in greater Irvine. Meetings are held bi-monthly and are open to Greater Irvine Chamber members only.

Legislative Scorecard

The Greater Irvine Chamber, through its vigilant monitoring of business legislation, provides a platform for members to influence and shape proposed local, state, and federal laws that may impact business. This unique opportunity allows members to directly impact issues that matter to their business.

To become involved, follow and take action on proposed legislation by joining coalitions and communicating with elected representatives and lawmakers as the Greater Irvine Chamber shares those opportunities. Appear with the Greater Irvine Chamber at Irvine City Council meetings when issues affecting business are addressed.

Public Policy Council

The Greater Irvine Chamber Public Policy Council is a Chamber Board of Directors-appointed body of individuals representing a diverse cross-section of industry verticals. The Council reviews legislation and regulation to formulate positions in support, opposition, or neutrality on issues that affect the membership of the Chamber. The Council is responsible for culminating these positions in the Chamber’s public policy handbook, which contains a public policy platform adopted by the Chamber’s Board of Directors biennially. The Council also advises the Greater Irvine Chamber Board and professional staff on public policy for emergent issues.
