Looking for a meaningful way to stay engaged, build valuable connections, develop skills, and become a part of Orange County’s largest business community?
Volunteering with the Greater Irvine Chamber offers an opportunity to put your time and talents to good use in a professional, welcoming environment while gaining experience, expanding your network, and making a tangible contribution to the businesses and professionals it serves.
The Greater Irvine Chamber is seeking dependable, community-minded volunteers to assist with mission-driven operations. From welcoming members and visitors to supporting office functions, maintaining records and systems, and contributing to events and special projects, volunteer assignments provide practical experience and meaningful ways to participate in the Greater Irvine Chamber’s work.
Flexible opportunities can be tailored to accommodate the time you have available and may include:
- Office and administrative support
- Member and visitor experience
- Financial and records organization
- Database and systems support
- Special projects and event support
An Opportunity for Every Career Stage
Chamber volunteering can be especially valuable for recently retired professionals who want to remain active and connected; recent graduates seeking practical experience and professional relationships; or professionals between roles who want to spend time in a positive, productive environment while exploring what comes next.
Specific experience is not required. Administrative, customer service, bookkeeping, database, or CRM experience can be helpful, but reliability, discretion, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in contributing to the business community are most important.
Make Connections While Making a Difference
In addition to hands-on experience in a professional organization, volunteers become part of the Greater Irvine Chamber community and receive complimentary access to many of its networking events. That means opportunities to meet business leaders and professionals from throughout the region, build meaningful relationships, strengthen transferable skills, and gain experience that can enhance a résumé and potentially lead to future opportunities.
