Thank you for being part of our 11th annual Women of Influence event! I’m excited you are part of our celebration of women in our community who inspire and elevate the importance of service to others.

Leadership is not about a job title or one’s role. At its core, leadership emanates from conscious choices, behaviors, and ideas shared to advance organizations, communities, and life. Said another way, influence is the essence of leadership.

We gather to recognize women who have taken ownership of their leadership opportunities. Our panel of exemplars demonstrates the power of influence as they role model Leading through Philanthropy. Coretta Scott King said, “The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.”

I’m confident that this year’s Women of Influence event will further elevate the greatness of our community as we gain inspiration from each other and the stories shared by our panelists.

Welcome to the Greater Irvine Chamber’s 11th annual Women of Influence event. I’m honored to recognize the accomplishments of women—around the world and locally—who have been leading in their industries and are truly making a difference.

Our expert panelists will share the secret recipe to leveling up, proving that leadership is more than just holding a position—it’s about creating impact. All impressive leaders in their fields, Jennifer Dinnen, Madelynn Hirneise, Deborah Harrington, and Joan Webb are role models for creating a better community by Leading Through Philanthropy.

We’ve all had challenges, opportunities, successes, and failures that have guided us during our own journey. Each of you attending this event has the opportunity to impact someone else. My hope is that you leave the 2024 presentation with some good advice and new connections. At City of Hope, I work alongside some of Orange County’s finest women leaders, physicians, scientists, nurses and staff who are dedicated to treating and curing cancer.
