Jill Dunn of Chevron and Clarissa Serpas of SoCalGas were recently appointed to the Greater Irvine Chamber Public Policy Council.
Dunn has been with Chevron since 2006. She is currently the southwest corporate affairs representative for Chevron’s Americas Products. In this role, she is responsible for representing the company on matters related to government relations, community relations, regulatory issues, social investment, and community engagement throughout Southern California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, and select regions in Idaho and Utah. Prior to Chevron, Dunn worked in public affairs and corporate communications at The Aerospace Corporation.
Serpas is a public affairs manager for SoCalGas supporting 14 jurisdictions across Orange County. In her role, she coordinates company relations with local city and community leaders to develop and enhance SoCalGas partnerships. In addition to multiple roles at SoCalGas, Serpas previously held positions at the West Basin Municipal Water District and AES Corporation. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Cypress College Foundation, Orange County Girl Scouts, and the Greater Irvine Chamber.
The Greater Irvine Chamber Public Policy Council is a Chamber Board of Directors-appointed body of individuals representing a diverse cross-section of industry verticals. The Council reviews legislation and regulation to formulate positions in support, opposition, or neutrality on issues that affect the membership of the Chamber. The Council is responsible for culminating these positions in the Chamber’s public policy handbook, which contains a public policy platform adopted by the Chamber’s Board of Directors biennially. The Council also advises the Greater Irvine Chamber Board and professional staff on public policy for emergent issues.
