This August, City of Hope Orange County is celebrating 365 days of hope and more. One year ago, City of Hope welcomed its first patients at City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center in Irvine. August is also the two-year anniversary of the opening of City of Hope Orange County’s regional network, with locations in Irvine Sand Canyon, Newport Beach and Huntington Beach.
City of Hope Orange County extends its thanks to its grateful patients, dedicated staff and physicians, philanthropic and construction partners, and the Orange County community for its support.
Thousands of patients have received care at the cancer center since its grand opening. They have access to 600 physicians and more than 1,000 researchers and scientists who only focus on cancer. Construction is underway on Orange County’s only specialty cancer hospital, which will be seamlessly connected to the cancer center. It will open in 2025. Together, the cancer center, the regional clinics and the hospital will create Orange County’s largest network dedicated exclusively to cancer treatment and cures.
As one of the top 10 best hospitals for cancer in the nation, according to 2023-2024 rankings released by U.S. News & World, City of Hope provides advanced cancer care and breakthrough research unavailable anywhere else. This is City of Hope’s 17th consecutive year on the list of the nation’s elite cancer hospitals, and its second year in a row to be ranked in the top 10 of all the cancer hospitals around the country.
City of Hope Orange County is a Diamond Leaders Circle Partner of the Greater Irvine Chamber.
