City of Hope Orange County, part of one of the largest and most advanced cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States and ranked among the Top 5 for cancer care by U.S. News & World Report, has named health care executive Annette Morgan its Chief Operating Officer.
An Orange County native with deep ties to the community, Morgan served as City of Hope Orange County’s chief administrative officer since joining the organization in 2018 as employee #2. In her new role, she will have executive oversight of clinical operations as well as patient access, support services, business development, project management, and performance improvement.
Morgan has been instrumental in bringing to life the vision of City of Hope’s expansion into Orange County. She has played a significant leadership role in the design, activation, and growth of City of Hope Orange County’s cancer campus in Irvine and network of advanced cancer care.
“Orange County is Annette’s home; she was born, raised, and educated here,” said Annette Walker, president, City of Hope Orange County. “She’s giving back to the community she loves, contributing her many talents and ensuring more people with cancer have access to nationally ranked cancer treatment as we prepare to open Orange County’s only cancer specialty hospital.”
In addition to her role in developing the Orange County network, Morgan has developed local relationships to expand access to City of Hope’s leading-edge care, including securing a partnership with CalOptima.

Before joining City of Hope Orange County, Morgan was a healthcare executive specializing in strategy and planning at Providence, one of the country’s largest health systems. There, she was instrumental in developing innovative wellness centers and services for employers and community members. Her exemplary career accomplishments have been recognized by the Greater Irvine Chamber and Becker’s Hospital Review.
Morgan, who serves on the board of directors of Orange County Business Council and Hope Builders, earned her MBA at California State Fullerton and her bachelor of science degree in business administration at California State University, Long Beach.
