Terry L. Walker, a respected leader in the local education community, has been appointed to the Greater Irvine Chamber Board of Directors.
Walker advises on AI in education and serves as Senior Advisor for District Relations at the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE), advancing collaboration and initiatives that support students and educators. He is a veteran education leader and former Superintendent of Irvine Unified School District, where he led one of California’s top-performing districts for 14 years. His work has focused on innovation, student wellness, and equity.
OCDE provides educational leadership, services, and support to Orange County’s 28 school districts, serving more than 450,000 students. OCDE advances student success through workforce development, educational innovation, technology, special education services, and partnerships that strengthen schools, families, businesses, and communities throughout the region.
