The Greater Irvine Chamber has honored longtime member Bruce Greenberg with its highest distinction, the Lifetime Member Award, recognizing his decades of leadership, service, and sustained commitment to the Chamber and the Irvine business community.
A Chamber member since 1990, Greenberg has earned numerous monthly, quarterly, and annual Chamber recognitions over the years for his contributions and has been deeply engaged across a wide range of Chamber initiatives. His involvement has included service on the Spirit of Irvine Committee—which organized a community fair in the early 1990s—as well as the Finance Committee, Technology Committee, Cybersecurity Task Force, and committees focused on workforce development and Chamber signature events.
Greenberg served on the Greater Irvine Chamber Board of Directors for 12 years, including three years on the executive committee. He is also an active member of Leads Group 1, founded 10 years ago, where he most recently served as co-chair and currently serves as social media chair. Since its launch in 2019, he has been a member of the Leads Groups Steering Committee.
In addition to his Chamber leadership, Greenberg has served for 16 years on the Board of the Irvine Forward Foundation, where he currently serves as executive director, helping to support Irvine college students through scholarship programs.
Throughout his membership, Greenberg has been a consistent participant in Chamber programming, regularly attending signature events such as Business Outlook, Celebrate Irvine, Women of Influence, and Legends and Leaders, along with numerous Evening Business Exchanges and Networkers Luncheons.
Over the years, Greenberg has remained an active Chamber member through the leadership of four CEOs and three Chamber office locations.
“I’ve learned so much about organization and networking over the last three-and-a-half decades of membership in the Greater Irvine Chamber,” said Greenberg. “The Chamber opened the door to millions of dollars in revenue based on the relationships I developed here.”
Greenberg joined the Chamber shortly after his company, Info-Mas Computers, became an IT vendor for the Chamber in 1989. In 1997, he co-founded The GDR Group with partners Ellen Dorse and Randy Redwitz and continued his Chamber membership under that company. After selling his shares in GDR in 2017, he launched Bruce Greenburg Consulting and transitioned his membership once again. His companies have provided IT support services for the Chamber for most his time as a member.
With more than 40 years of experience in programming, databases, and accounting, Greenberg helps businesses optimize office workflows by extracting and organizing data from systems such as spreadsheets and accounting platforms into more efficient, usable solutions.
