The Greater Irvine Chamber is launching its Executive Peer Group program on Jan. 16, bringing together high-caliber CEOs and business owners in a confidential and facilitated environment where they can engage in an exchange of ideas and discuss strategies for maximizing organizational achievement.
The Executive Peer Group, presented by CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP), is scheduled to meet monthly at the Greater Irvine Chamber and potentially at alternative hosted locations. Guest speakers, presenters, and topics are selected based on the interests of the group, often involving forward-looking research. Speakers are experts in their fields and will be available for consultation beyond monthly meetings.
Topics scheduled for 2024:
- Introductions & Tax Compliance
- Organizing Growth- Preparing to Scale
- Marketing & Advertising
- “Employer of Choice” Recruiting
- Employee Engagement & Morale
- Economic Trends
- Dealing with “Culture Cancers”
- Law vs. Ethics vs. Company Policy: What to do When they Differ
- Artificial Intelligence
- Succession Planning
Serving as moderator and business coach for the 2024 Executive Peer Group cohort is published author and experienced public speaker Ed Hart, senior vice president of First Bank and director of the bank’s Center for Family-Owned Businesses. He hosts the From the Hart Podcast, through which he interviewed prominent authors, actors, athletes, musicians, pastors, and executives. He led Cal State Fullerton’s Center for Family Business (2011-2021), and served as director of Business Development at the USC Marshall School of Business (2007 - 2011).
Through the program, participants can tap into expertise from outside their own organization to get real feedback, peer guidance, and diverse perspectives. Deep-dive, one-to-one exchanges allow participants to build trusted relationships with executive peers.
Participation in Executive Peer Group is open to Greater Irvine Chamber members only. Eligible participants must hold a top executive role in an organization with 5 to 30 employees and agree to a one-year commitment with a monthly fee of $150, or annually at $1,500. The select group will be limited to 15 participants.
