The Greater Irvine Chamber will celebrate the inaugural Irvine Global Trade Day with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 2:30–4:30 p.m. at the Chamber, 36 Executive Park, Suite 100, Irvine.
The celebration will highlight the Greater Irvine Chamber’s role in supporting businesses engaged in global commerce—an increasingly vital pathway for entrepreneurs and established companies alike. Through its Electronic Certificate of Origin Program, offered in collaboration with the American World Trade Chamber of Commerce and recognized by the International Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber enables companies to process export documents quickly, securely, and entirely online—streamlining international shipments and expanding access to global markets.
During the event, Greater Irvine Chamber President & CEO Dave Coffaro will provide remarks on the Greater Irvine Chamber’s export initiatives and its continued leadership in advancing international trade. The Chamber is a recipient of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s prestigious President’s “E” Award for Export Service, recognizing its significant contributions to supporting exporters.
As part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Greater Irvine Chamber President & CEO and Board of Directors will proclaim that the first Thursday in May each year be Irvine Global Trade Day, and present a formal proclamation to the City of Irvine, represented by elected officials in attendance.
Business, community, and education leaders, exporters, and partners are invited to attend and connect over refreshments during the celebration. The event is open to the public, with complimentary parking. Advanced RSVP is required.
The Irvine Global Trade Day proclamation recognizes Irvine’s longstanding commitment to entrepreneurship, international partnerships, and cross-border collaboration, and highlights the critical role of global trade in driving economic vitality, workforce development, innovation, and the region’s global competitiveness.
The Irvine Global Trade Day celebration aligns with Orange County World Trade Week, including the Orange County World Trade Week Forum on May 7 from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at UC Irvine Beall Applied Innovation, where Dave Coffaro will be among the featured speakers.
