The Greater Irvine Chamber hosted Irvine Mayor Farrah N. Khan during its June 1 Government Affairs Committee meeting.
Mayor Khan provided an update on the city, including financial stability, growth, housing, trade delegations, the Gateway Preserve and the Great Park, and a social connectivity initiative she has created.
Mayor Khan is the 23rd Mayor of Irvine. She received the highest number of votes for the position of Mayor in the city’s history. She is the first woman of color to hold the position and the first Muslim woman to lead a large city in the United States.
Through its bimonthly Government Affairs Committee meetings, the Greater Irvine Chamber provides chamber members, business leaders, and elected officials direct access to elected officials and executives from agencies and organizations that serve Orange County.
