Sandra Crouch's Service to the Greater Irvine Chamber and its Members Marks a 10-Year Milestone

Sandra Crouch, vice president of finance at the Greater Irvine Chamber, celebrates 10 years of service at the organization serving its members and the business community.

“The most impactful finance professionals are those who perform as strategic partners in an organization’s leadership. That is Sandra, and I am grateful for the role she plays on our leadership team,” said Dave Coffaro, Interim president & CEO, Greater Irvine Chamber.

With over 40 years of experience in accounting, Crouch is responsible for financial operations at the Greater Irvine Chamber, including financial reporting, annual audits by independent CPAs, tax reporting, investments, and risk management.

Crouch’s career began in public accounting with large, international firms, beginning with Arthur Andersen & Co., and subsequently serving as the lead professional for health care and nonprofit teams at Deloitte and Ernst & Young. She served as CFO for Disease Detection International—a publicly traded manufacturer of rapid diagnostic medical tests, including early pregnancy tests and the first HIV test for whole blood samples—and where she rediscovered a passion for nonprofits. She served eight years as the controller for The Sheepfold Shelters for Domestic Violence Victims (for women and children), where she created their in-house accounting systems.

She has served as a Toastmasters instructor, debate coach, and group leader for a community of home educators. She was awarded Outstanding Instructor for creating and presenting a Member Association of International Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) course on nonprofit organizations. Crouch has volunteered for the Strong Families Advisory Council for Olive Crest for 14 years and is treasurer for the leadership team at Woodbridge Community Church in Irvine.

Crouch holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of New Orleans, Magna cum Laude, is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Louisiana and California, is a member of the AICPA, and is AICPA Certified in not-for-profit accounting. She has completed training from the NYU Law School 501(c)(3) Institute, Health Care Lawyers Institute, American Bar Association Not-for-Profit Conference, Washington Not-for-Profit Tax Conference, and other industry programs.
