U.S. Debut of World Korean Business Convention to be in Orange County, Oct. 2023

Previously known as Hansang, the World Korean Business Convention debuted in South Korea in 2002 with approximately 950 participants from 28 countries. The annual Convention has grown to become the largest Korean business convention in the world, averaging more than 3,000 participants annually from more than 60 countries. WKBC has played a pivotal role in bringing small to mid-sized Korean businesses into the global marketplace and bridging interactions between domestic and overseas Korean businesses.

In its 21st year, World Korean Business Convention (WKBC) will be held outside Korea for the first time, making its U.S. debut in Orange County at the Anaheim Convention Center, Oct. 11-14, 2023.

“As WKBC ventures outside Korea, its goal is to facilitate dialogue with diaspora Korean businesses from throughout the world and strengthen Korean and American business relations,” said Sean Roh, president, Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County. “The Conference is the perfect opportunity to learn the ins and outs of running a Korean business as well as doing business with Korean companies.”

Through K-pop, K-food, K-drama, and K-movies, the world has experienced the effects of the creative minds of Korean entrepreneurs. WKBC aims to further the K-wave, leaving a lasting mark in the U.S. Expected WKBC attendees include more than 1,500 Korean merchants, 1,500 North & South American entrepreneurs, and 50,000 individuals representing local business, nonprofits, and government entities. The conference includes information infrastructure, trade, transportation, e-commerce, beauty, food, medical & wellness, K-pop culture, networking, and a VC investment forum, startup pitch competition, and more.

For a free Exhibition Pass good for all three days, register before Sept. 10 with code: 2023WKBC.  After Sept. 10, passes for the exhibition hall are $50.

Individual registration for opening & closing ceremonies is $250 and includes banquets, seminars, one-to-one meetings, company exhibition, and startup pitch competition.

WKBC is hosted by Overseas Korean Agency, Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County (KACCOC), and Overseas Koreans Economic Organizations, and is organized by KBIZ Korea Federation of SMEs, KACCOC, and Maeil Business News. The Greater Irvine Chamber is a partner organization with KACCOC to present WKBC.
