Two Orange County executives have been appointed to the Greater Irvine Chamber Board of Directors: Sherry Hashimoto Main, vice chancellor of Strategic Communications & Public Affairs, University of California, Irvine, and David Feldberg, REALTOR® and founder, Coastal Real Estate Group.
A real estate broker since 2003, David Feldberg entered the field soon after graduating from the University of California, Irvine. He has since represented hundreds of clients in Orange County. Prior to becoming a real estate agent, Feldberg worked in the mortgage industry as a loan officer. He later started his own mortgage brokerage, where he grew his business to over 75 employees. He founded Coastal Real Estate Group in 2011.
Feldberg received the Rainmaker Award in 2019 and 2020 for the highest recorded closed business referrals produced among the Greater Irvine Chamber Leads Groups.
Feldberg serves on the North Tustin Advisory Council and Leadership Tomorrow Board of Directors. He is active in a local dog rescue organization and has fostered numerous dogs since 2012.
Sherry Hashimoto Main is an accomplished higher education communications executive. In her current role, Main oversees enterprise communications and engagement functions, including marketing, advertising, executive and digital communication, media relations, and community and government relations. Previously, she served as the chief communications & marketing officer at UC Santa Cruz, and has held other communications roles at UC Irvine since 2001.
In 2017, Main was appointed by then UC President Janet Napolitano to serve a two-year term as staff advisor to the UC Board of Regents, having direct input into the board’s deliberations impacting UC’s more than 200,000 staff employees. She is an advisory board member of The CLUB Silicon Valley, and has held memberships in Executive Women’s Forum International and HiPower/UPWARD Women. She serves on The Barclay Theatre Board of Directors.
Among her honors, Main received the 2018 Women of Influence award from the Silicon Valley Business Journal, several International Grand Gold awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, and the 2022 PR News Top Women ChangeMaker award.
Main earned a bachelor’s degree from UC Davis and an MBA from UC Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business.
The Greater Irvine Chamber Board of Directors is chaired by Lisa Thomas, Principal & CEO of Main Street Marketing Partners, and is comprised of nine Executive Committee members and 18 general members.
